I just noticed that my 2017 S3 doesn't have amber turn signals in the rear. Is this because I don't have the Prestige trim? I knew it had the progressive (dynamic) look in red when I locked the car, popped the trunk, etc... I just assumed they would blink amber when used as a turn signal or hazzard. Are red turn signals even legal in the US? A person would have to be an idiot not to understand that it's a signal but I thought the US had rules regarding the color. Besides I would have preferred it blinking amber?

I guess what I am asking is: Is this normal or did I get screwed on my rear turn signal lighting?

Turn signals are all red and yes it's legal in the US. Most amber turn signals are for the fronts.

Thanks... I've been looking at pics of 2017 S3s for sale and they are all the same. I don't know why I thought the LEDs turned amber in the rear as well.

lol yeah no worries.

Also there's a mod out there that will add a sweeping affect to the blinkers, similar to that of the new A4 if you want something different.

Where is the modification available from?
